It was the start of one of those mornings, so I thought I would take dasiy into town for abit of shopping and a nice cake in the local tea shop

I don’t know why but I really do love the winter, especially when it’s a cold crisp day and you can see your breath in the air and feel the cold hitting your cheeks even when you have your hat, coat and scarf tightly on. I was rudely awoken at five thirty that morning, I was woken by milly really early, she’s not been sleeping very well lately, I think she is getting her first teeth coming through.

After going to see Milly and getting her up I went back to my bedroom and woke Frank up for work and went down to make breakfast. Breakfast in our house normally consists of toast on wholemeal bread and wheetabix, but after watching some american series on tv I thought I would treat us to pancakes american style. I remember going on holiday to the U.S when I was younger and we would have pancakes, bacon, sausage and eggs all on one plate!

A day of shopping can be special for many reasons, one of then being that I get to dress milly up in her lovely little outfits. It really is one of the best times of the day for me, getting to dress milly in beautiful baby grows and dresses, it feels like real quality time and I notice something new about her all the time.mollyseems to be changing so quickly, everyday she is finding something new and I really enjoy the small moments with her like getting her dressed, it’s great mother and daughter time. As much as I love my bed and sleep, their is something good about being woken up at 5.30 am by your little one year old and that is the morning seems to go on forever, which is a good thing when you feel there aren’t enough hours in the day.

Last night was so cold that the car was frozen solid, so I started the engine and turned on the heater full blast so that the car was nice and warm when I put milly into her maxi cosi car seat. You see when you have a baby in tow, even spending a day in town takes alot of planning, you have feeds, nappies, three wheeler and of course the car seat.

I have to admit that milly loves her maxi cosi cabriofix and always falls fast asleep in it and because it’s so light weight and easy to manage you can just clip it out of the car and take it with you, it has a great handle that makes the maxi cosi cabriofix so easy to handle.

It didn’t take too long to warn the car up and I got the car seat set up in the car really quickly.

I couldn’t believe how busy the roads were I forgot it was half term and by the time I got to the shopping center parking most of the mother and child spaces were taken, but I managed to find one in just the nick of time before this big grumpy women in a audi convertible came bouncing around the corner.

It only took seconds more to get out the Stokke Xplory buggy from the boot and get it set up, I have to admit the stokke xplory is one of the best strollers I have ever used and it looks amazing, it really is a head turner and milly loves being in it.

It was a really lovely day out in the end, we spent a few hours just drinking hot chocolate and just watching the world go buy, I even managed to splash out and buy myself a new all saints bag.
